Well since it looks like winter came early with all the snow we have now I think it is safe to say no more driving my 69 Charger this year
I have a small list of little things to work on but they can wait till spring
So for now it will get parked in the garage for the winter and move the 70 Charger project car into the shop to tinker with

The former owner of the 70 either sandblasted or replaced everything that had any factory paint on it
The car is now epoxy primer or AMD black
Has no fender tag but when I bought it they said it was originally dark green
Since it is now a blank canvas I think the bright lime green for 1970 would look much better  ;D

The car does not have much interior parts that came with it but the parts I do have are for the dark green set up
The dash looks to have been restored and is in nice shape and in dark green

So I know normally the car would have white or black interior with sublime paint

After seeing that 69 Charger 500 at Van Guards  site that was F6 and dark green inside got me to thinking

What would lime green car with dark green interior look like ?
Anybody with a picture of such a car ?

I have only seen it once locally but there was a lime green 70' Super Bee that had burnt orange interior. Original owner car. The Son was driving it. Dad was with him to confirm he bought it new like that. He was now too old to drive it any longer.

But did it look bad or just different than you would expect ?

I didn't mind it but I have always been one for interior colors other than black even though 4 of my cars have black interiors. The other 2 both have tan.

this is prolly not going to end up being the answer your looking for

while i'm a fan of all factory color combinations for the respective model year  for second generation chargers , they all must have looked awesome rolling off the assembly line ! love them all !!
I have nothing against green & if I had a chance of an awesome unrestored second generation charger any option combo  in any of the green factory colors with green interior! looking like its been stored in a climate controlled storage for 50 years , would buy it in a heartbeat if the price was right. that being said IMO yellow & black is awesome on a second generation & my favourite
next to  the factory yellow on second generations  sublime & the reds are a real close second  :coolgleamA: but got to be  black guts imo
personally if I was in your position, of having a blank canvas of a 70 charger ! there is only one  color to go with FJ5 sublime & its black interior & top , yes white looks awesome ! but its got to be black ! & having a charger that stage of resto/ repair / repaint  etc   ...I would  go black interior & be done with it , if I went with the green I would not be completely happy ! yes I realise your dash is green & you mentioned you have some green interior parts ! but answer this ! if you had a black dash & some black interior parts already  ! would you be thinking of changing it to green !!
change it to black now its easier at this stage ! than wait till a week after its all pit together then  be wishing it was black  :Twocents:.
i have seen a sublime challenger  with green interior a long time ago on ebay  cant remember if it was originally Fj5 , think it was FF4.
anyways  it was not the sort of color combo i would have ordered,

good luck with what ever you decide

My other thought would be is how hard is it to dye or paint the green interior parts black ?
Think white would not turn out so well with green base

painting white over green or any dark color  is not a good idea !  although it does depend on what parts your trying to change color. the trick to painting interior parts , is to put the least amount of paint / dye on as possible, also to achieve a good finish that holds up &  don't crack / flake etc you need to do virtually the same amount of prep as you would need to as when painting top coat, not just spraying the product out of a gun  even when using a rattle can !, ive seen people dye all kinds of interior parts with varying  levels of success ! it all depends how fussy you are , look on your tube / internet people dye all kinds of interior parts , headliners , seats , carpets ! yes really  :o , those are the things I would NEVER do, soft plastic parts are do able & able to achieve good results. again follow the product manufactures instructions to the letter, hard plastic parts are easy just use the correct stuff & remember don't hammer the paint / dye on , it will end up looking too false & cracking / flaking off .  I would only dye / paint  the least amount of interior parts as possible , ie any part I cant find in black. imo

We dyed and painted many interior hard parts black of the '73.  It was previously beige and came out very nice.

I dyed my green seats white and I really think they turned out great.
Actually, I dyed them black in the early 90's then stripped them back to green, then dyed them white.

The hard part would be to find front seats to match
