Vin identification

Was cross referencing my 66 chargers vin with a 1967 Chrysler parts catalog from 1967.  Just so know things is a huge binder with all Chrysler parts, codes, etc.  so my vin is xp29e61xxxxxx.  The 5th number represents the engine so e.  However my parts catalog shows e as a 273 hi perf.  Does this sound correct?  Thought was 318 361 383 426 for 66?  Any thoughts?
