Hello,

I'm wanting to install a factory repro tachometer in my Bird.  I have not seen 2 separate wiring harnesses sold for those with and those without tachs.  Assuming one harness was used, are the connector stuffed up under the dash ?  If not, how exactly was it wired up ?  There are several terminal post on the back, 5 to be exact and that seems like to many.  Seems it should be like 3, power, ground and light....am I way off ?

Also, what would be the easiest way to remove the front black dash gauge cluster ?  I can push it forward (towards the seat) when I'm under the dash pushing outward.  I don't want to push more and bust something.

Thanks for any help.

Power and light part while be in the harness.. tach signal from distributor will not be. It's a separate "optional" wire, goes through the dimple beside the booster/master cylinder.

Think you might need to loosen the bolts on the steering column and let it drop down some if you are pulling the dash right out
