I hope he gets it, but honest answer is he will be lucky to get an offer for 50% of the buy it now price. No mention of a broadcast sheet or window sticker. Both or either would add value to car but neither will add that much value.

If it sells for over $145 I would be stunned. But if it does, it helps the value of my Hemi 500.

MoPaR 312

Saw this car last year at Mopars in the Park in Minnesota. Was a very very nice looking car. I too am curious what he ends up getting for it.

Aero426

Also saw it in person at a local show near Milwaukee.   Stunning car.   Asking price on crack.

I have intimate knowledge of every nut, bolt and screw on this car and while I am not at liberty to disclose exact numbers the selling price was much closer to the asking price than these posted "values" and there was no crack involved nor Barret fever:). Just many many hours of hard work and $$$
Such low production cars are difficult to value, everyone wants the most return they can get and I don't understand people slamming sellers. If you don't feel the price is right don't buy it.
This thread reminds me of people running down cars at shows or events. A friend had a classic response: "OK. lets go look at your car"

hard work and lots of dollars usually equate to being upside down, even on low production cars.
the comments above were made by people intimately aware of what these cars are.
taking a look at their own cars would only validate their stated opinions

Since you have intimate knowledge of this Car, I have a Question. I'm curious if Trunk Floor is Original or been Replaced? :scratchchin:

Column change auto, no console, with the propshaft in 'back to front'?

Hmmm, what else is wrong with this T3 beauty lol... :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:

If a car was to sell for a premium price, I could see this car as being one that would knock the socks off a potential new owner. Everything is so precisely done.

I spotted the rear marker light housings painted black when they are supposed to be body color.....wonder how much else is wrong?

Hi A383Wing,              13 July 2022

Think the rear marker housing was whatever Creative happened to have handy when they put it in the rear fender after the tape stripe was installed. When the 500's and later the Daytona's were delivered to the dealers some were a mess. The first 500 I saw had just been delivered to the dealer. The rear backlight window plug was rusty along the edges where the Stainless trim touched the plug. Couldn't believe how bad it looked.

When we bought our Daytona (Now Bob's Hemi Daytona) in 1972 from the original owner, it had paint missing from that area and it was rusty also. Fortunately, the car was never driven in the winter so it wasn't exposed to salt. It did show Creative Industries less than ideal workmanship. Those markers you referred to, one was white and the other black. That Daytona is a V2 with black wing and stripe. The white marker was presumably touched up with black paint that eventually flaked off exposing the white marker. Our guess is the originals markers were not reinstalled by Creative.

From what we can see of the 500, it's a beautiful car. We hope he get's whatever he wants for it. The green, green, green Hemi Daytona and the Hemi Super Bird went for super high bucks. Both in our opinion are of dubious quality, especially the Green hornet and then the non-matching numbers Super Bird, which went for $1mil more than we think it's worth.

With the way the economy is going, all bets are off; the cars are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. If the economy tanks they won't be worth much cause few will have excess loose change to squander. Time will tell.

Hi Aero426,               13 July 2022

What were the buyers of the $1.65 MIL Super Bird and $1.2 MIL Daytona on?

Searched the net, every 500 we saw was opposite of what you said: ".... they are supposed to be body color.....".

They were DEFINITELY on crack.    Is there any up side on paying $1.65M for that bench/column auto Superbird?    If there is, someone please tell me.

Look,  in restoration, you can certainly spend the asking price on this Hemi 500.   It's real nice.     Is it worth almost $300k to sell?    :shruggy:   At the moment, there is a segment of people paying high dollars for cars they want.

As far as the bezel goes on a 500. I have yet to find an unrestored car with its bezel painted stripe color. I have looked at over 30 original paint 500's. So far it's been ZERO that have been painted stripe color.

that has been my findings as well, and other members here and in other forums have said the same thing.. Creative corrected that mistake on the Daytona's
