Al Wald's car and mine both have the "buddy" seat between the buckets.  Both are 4 speeds.

Sure, they were built / optioned out like any other 70 b-body.. I have seen plenty of bucket seat cars with and without the console or buddy seat. The buddy seat and center console were all optional components.....
