NOS wing

I stumbled upon this NOS wing on eBay. Not sure if this is the right place to post but I was just amazed that an unused wing is even a thing.

My big claim to fame is that I have over 600 Union Oil Advertising Releases for the 1969 race season.  There were required by each driver to sign before each race so Union Oil had the driver's permission in advance to publish their picture if they won a race or were involved in a crash or other picture worthy event.

I have Richard Petty's signature on 10 of the races that year, one of them he won. I say "signature" because these are legal documents and are not autographs signed for a fan.  One of my rarest one is Richard Brickhouse's Release for the first Talladega Race in 1969 which also was the debut race for the Dodge Daytona.  He won the race driving Charlie Glotzbach's #99 car because Charlie and many famous racers boycotted the first Talladega race because the track was considered too fast and dangerous for the tires of the day.  I also have Don MacTavish's last race and perhaps his last signature before he died in a tragic wreck that you can see on YouTube.

I am looking for someone that may want to buy some or all of that collection.  Charles Craig valued it between $50,000 to $70,000.  Buz McKim, the historian from the Nascar Hall of Fame, said they are not rare, they are one of a kind, because he had never seen them before. They basically were Union Oil business documents that were discarded several years after each race.  I happened to work at the archive that Union Oil used when they were being thrown out.  I also have Mario Andretti's release from his 1967 Daytona 500 win.

I may be wrong, but part numbers beginning with 35 sound much later than 1970 part numbers.

Part number is correct and the decals he has are the PLYMOUTH in both White and Black.

I agree with DAY CLONA on the price.  Wings normally don't get damaged.  If someone is build a clone, they will use Janak and save $18k over what this guy is asking.  REALITY CHECK!!!!!

I think $20 K could be better spent other than on something that gets laid away and means nothing to but the person that has it and may or may not ever looked at it !  No offense,but do "you" really care what someone else has and does it benefit you ?

It feels a bit strange for me defending Aero parts and historical documentation on an American specialist site.

A 'know nuffing' Limey thousands of miles away, who's never seen a Wingcar going round a 'super-speedway'.
But the thought of it makes the hairs on my neck stand up!!!

Fifty years on from the glory days of Mother Mopar finest achievements makes me happy to be part of those times with my own four speed C500.
If I had a time machine then I would have found a way to be 'part of the Nascar scene' either as pitcrew, or even a DRIVER!
200mph plus down the straights in a tricked out Charger 500 would seem like a 'rocket-ship' in 69, (like Buzz).

It still amazes me that we were driving Ford Cortina's in the UK and you guys were going to the moon and back...
