Who has a stash of 8 3/4" 3rd members ?

Last I counted...there were over 70 loaded carrier housings on the shelf. Kinda no fair though as we're in the drive line business... :icon_smile_big:

I don't have much as they tend to take up a lot of real estate and I don't have much of that right now LOL. I basically have a complete early 1972 400 and a 1971 BB 727. Also have an 8 3/4 for my '69 Charger and 10-12 BB cylinder heads.

3 long block 440s two of which are 68 Charger engines, and 2 bare 440 blocks. Got rid of all the spare B engines and all small block and slant 6 stuff before I moved last July. I also have 2 727 big block cores, 2 833's, and various bells, shifters and related hardware.

I have 6 spare 8-3/4 sure grip pigs of various ratios. I thought about selling a few off but they are just too handy when you feel the need to change things up. In fact I just put a full 833 assembly together out of random parts last week for my 57 Dodge so I guess I really only have one spare.

There is nothing like having an adequate spare parts stash in the old car hobby!

It is great, but this stuff eats floor space if you don't have a shelf unit.
I have the old 318 out of the Duster on an engine stand, a virgin 440 lowered between the legs of a cherry picker, the 8 3/4 on jack stands when you walk in...

I've been wanting to get small stands, but they cost too much imo so I will probably build my own...when time allows.  Currently don't have the wall space, but I'd ideally like to build a shelf unit to hold the small stands I build for the engines.  I think I just need a bigger shop...

well, I had a spare 440 and 413 blocks with 3 sets of heads and cranks but someone wanted them more and stole them from the shed. the sad part to me is they probably got 50 dollars at a scrap yard and are melted down now.

I only have one lonely spare 383 stashed aside.  I bought it knowing it was a running engine, with the plan of installing it in my project Charger to get it up and running while rebuilding it's original engine.

I keep the transmissions outside but the engines and 3rd members are in the shop.
I figure that exhaust manifolds, suspension parts, body panels and wheels can sit outside.

I am trying to organize my stuff.
How did I get 15 Saginaw power steering pumps? 8 or 9 Federal pumps too. 8 alternators, 7 starters.....

Not having a lot of storage space helps keep the parts stash down but I'm still hoarding...
