not an original hemi, but now has a 426 hemi in it, apparently an original AC car, my question is, as far as i was aware, AC was not an option when hemi was selected because they couldnt fit the bracutory under the hood?

how is it possible that charger can have factory AC with a hemi under the hood, even if it isnt a true hemi car..

BLK 68 R/T

When it has no compressor or brackets it fits just fine. It will also fit with some air cleaner mods or different mounting position.

Same problems with 6pack cars

The only car in the world with "factory" AC on a 426 Hemi it was the Monteverdi HAI 450SS

That must be fun to service.

So how is that hemi charger in the link i posted,
manage to keep the factory air setup with a hemi under the hood?
as nach said, is setup different under the hood than it would have been from the factory?
have they used a diff setup to allow the AC to remain with the hemi in it.

also, ive read about dealer installed air con, does anyone have any photos of what dealer installed aircon would have looked like from the showroom floor in 68/70 compared to a factory aircon setup.

I can't see the A/C setup on engine bay on that car. Seller is saying he got the original A/C parts with the car ( I guess from the original 383 ) but didn't say is installed.

never got to be assembled to the market. Just one assembled as SS and another one as GTS with some upgrades and a 440 instead and used on shows trying to promote it and trying be assembled.

These were models made trying to replace the Monteverdi 375 which was a front end 440 engine build to compete with the Jensen Interceptor

The number was related to the HP produced, hence the 375 and the 450 ( yes same USA street Hemi, but forwhatever reason was rated at 450 in Europe )

It has no compressor hence no working A/C. (A Sanden rotary could be fitted.) So this is a car that has the stuff under the dash but not under the hood for A/C.

Bracutory?  Is that the place you go, like a laboratory, to learn bracketology; otherwise known as the science of bracketry?

I agree with Nacho, I don't see the suction and discharge lines.  I'd mount a Sanden compressor low, and keep the original AC box and controls.  Better than the aftermarket stuff, with fresh air and all.
Mopar forever!
