I'm sure this topic has been discussed before.  Can someone point me to a link or a post that discusses assembly line paint dabs and grease pencil markings for a Superbird?   I've seen different brown and white stripes on torsion bars, green, white and red dabs here and there on chassis bolts, trans and differentials, and grease pencil markings all over the place.  I've been to the MCO website and they only show examples across a wide range of cars and years.  Looking for superbird specific markings.

Most were random inspection marks.
Torsion bars for a Bird would always be brown - signifying the "Hemi" bar for 440/426

Interestingly, mine had these markings on the lower rad support...

Torsion bars just got a mark in a different color depending on what engine it was. There was a total of 4 different colors, I believe.

actually  :icon_smile_big: the torsion bars used were based on suspension - 1969:
ALL XS / XX cars will have the S15 Xtra Heavy Duty suspension STANDARD with brown striped 0.92" diameter torsion bars (1-stripe RH & 2-stripes LH)
a XP car had the S13 Heavy Duty suspension STANDARD with silver striped 0.90" diameter torsion bars
a 383 car with an A36/A31 3.55/3.91 axle package included S15 and will have the same springs & torsion bars as a XS / XX car

All toothpicks!!!    :smilielol:     Just for sake of comparison, and incredible as it sounds, DC-93 ran 1.6" bars for the 200 run.

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Cool.
Yours has an H and mine has a Y.

Anyone have "initials" on their car? My Superbird has "CC" mig welded on top of the frame rail under the battery tray where vacuum can mounts
