How do you lose a Daytona in your inventory?

Did any Daytona's come with "fender-mount turn signals"?

My 68 Charger with 43,276 miles did not have hood turn signals.
Had blank outs... Just pieces of metal!
I bought it from the original owner in 1972.
$750. cash!

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I see Larry Shinoda Daytona back view any fronts

Use your side arrows to move the picture over.... to the front

i don't think he meant every charger came with hood mounted turn signals

more so that chargers with that option had them mounted on the hood, and not the fender

you gotta do a lot of deciphering at times....

It is possible...and would have been an even older car in their inventory. But I've seen numerous ads where a Daytona is advertised as "Daytona 500". Probably because of the race? Or because of the Coronet 500 / Charger 500 cars. Or because of the total built was supposed to by 500.

Or because the guy that wrote that ad was an idiot.  Yes, they have been around for many years!

Examples of a Daytona being advertised as "Daytona 500".

Even NASCAR driver, Dr. Don Tarr called it a Daytona 500!

Typographical error for 'last' in inventory.

I have seen more than one car LOST in inventory, especially back in the day when cars were paid for when they came off the truck and dealers had huge lots and inventories. Now days most are floor planned and the bank checks your inventory regularly. I had a dealer with over a 1000 cars in inventory in the 3 different storage locations and yes more than one car got trapped in a corner or "lost" for times. I started working with an MB dealer in 2017 that had 50+ new 14s still in stock at the time. And we want even talk about the salesman giving cars to their wives (or girl friends  :icon_smile_big:) with out anyone knowing, I've even known of cases where they had a customer out in over night test drives they forgot about. Crazy things can happen in poorly run stares.
