I removed the gauge assembly in order to remove my dash pad on my 68 charger and now the car won't start. There is also no power at my interior lights. I don't even get a click when turning the key, absolutely nothing happens. Any suggestions?

ALL power runs through the ammeter gauge. The red and black wires carry the entire electrical load. As suggested, use a small bolt to connect them then tape over it so the car can start and run.
