have a '68 Charger with 383 2bbl. .. it has dual exhaust now but will need to be replaced. I know the 2bbl. version had single exhaust, so someone changed this over. My question,  is there an exhaust head pipe from some other year or model that will work with the 2bbl exhaust manifold.

I think you can still use the head pipes from a 383 HP car. As I m pretty sure the bolt pattern and spacing on the manifolds is the same versus a HP car. Just the hole is larger on the HP cars.

But Im not 100% sure

Not the same car, but when I wanted to put duals on a 60s Chrysler,
I had to get the matching drivers side manifold to accomplish.

Angle to head pipe was a no-fit with the original exh. manifold.

That's pretty common. Best way to put duals on a single car is to forget factory pipes and custom fabricate the whole system.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
