Anyone??  :shruggy:

Off the top of my head, I only know of one person with the original paint on their wing, Jim, 3-daytona... All other Daytonas I know about have been restored.. Aren't too many Daytonas in the world left with their original paint let alone owners who view these pages... Good luck... Maybe Danny can chime in........

Even an original black wing would work.
Just need a pic showing the amount of gloss.

Thanks.

Well, these pics will rock the Daytona resto boat!

Appears the original wing sheen is around the same as the stripe color... Maybe a little more.
The nose, plug and wing were done in lacquer, so it went on dull and was up to the guys to buff them up.

Since the cars were on an ASAP schedule, little time was left to do wings. From seeing vintage pics, the plug, hood, fenders and upper nose got the most attention.
The outer wing uprights got buffed a bit, the inner parts and horizontal maybe a bit less.

So, IMO, a wing shine equal to or a little better than the stripe would be pretty correct.
See the pics below.   Researching old unrestored vintage pics on the net also shows this.

Thanks to Jim McCauley (3--DAYTONA) for supplying the pics of his all original car.
