I know this isn't a Charger question but there are a lot of knowledgeable guys here.  I have located a numbers matching '69 Roadrunner convertible that was rolled in the 80's.  It is a rust free car but it has been rolled.  The windshield frame is bent down on one side.  I would imagine that the other side is sprung down some as well.  Otherwise I think the car is restorable.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to how someone might be able to pull the windshield frame back into place or what would be the proper way to go about doing that?

Have it done by pros on a frame rack.  There are times when you should pay a pro for specialized work and this is one of them.

According to the OP's story...one of them is wasted for sure!  :brickwall:

Being rolled & a Convertible, I'd put on a Frame Machine & have the whole frame checked out, the whole car could be twisted.  :Twocents: LEON

The A pillar metal is stretched and distorted.    After pulling it back, the distortions remain.   I would want to use A pillar parts from a good donor.   Intensive work, maybe get Mopar4don to help.   ;D
Mopar forever!

what the other guys say , anything like that needs to go on a frame rack, its  probably twisted bent out of alignment , more than just the windshield frame , thats why it was not repaired long ago due to cost & its value then.

sounds like a interesting project  if you buy it , be good to see a thread on your project   :yesnod: ,
good luck with what ever you decide

there is a sleazy way ive seen it done with out a fame machine , by even sleazier body guys,
I would never attempt doing it that way or would not even attempt to go over 10 mph in a car repaired that way !!!  or even want to explain how its done  :eek2:

Thanks for the replies everyone.  I'll get the chassis checked out if I end up make a deal on the car.  I believe one vent wing frame is destroyed and the other is bent.  The body of the car is surprisingly decent minus the windshield frame damage.  I'll post up a picture if I do end up buying the car.

For sure.
I do this on every car during a resto...even cars that look great need a tweak.

Sounds good.

BTW, it's better to do any frame pulling BEFORE you take the car apart & start cutting stuff off.  Even panels that are obviously crunched - leave them on.
