Can you wet sand chrome bumpers?

Front bumper bottom looks slightly dull...can you 1000/1500/2000 and polish it??

I hit it with 0000 steel wool but looks like it could be better. Not worth replacing.

Try using a buffing compound. I personally like the Wizards Turbo Cut.
