How much does this thing weigh? I am debating if I would like take out or not since it is not hooked up.

Do I need to pull the dash to get it out ?

70 sublime

I would think it would come out if the metal dash frame stayed in the car

Should take the card board glove box liner out
Probably passenger front seat out
Maybe console if you have one

Assuming we are talking about 68 69 70 Charger style
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

yup it's a 68.

I had a look in the FSM but didn't see much on how to remove it only a break down of its separate parts .

my 1970 heater box with ac unit was 40 lbs with no fluids.  Could be removed under dash.

equivalent of 7 gallons of gas.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

You might need to take the passenger seat out.
I pulled my A/C box last year and installed a Classic Auto Air kit. I removed the right seat and the console.

It's a NON-AC car.  15 lbs is 15 lbs. Plus the whole thing needs to be freshened up regardless . Sounds like a good winter project !
