Any members from Ontario  use any shops recently for restorations? Mainly looking for just some paint and metal work. I've mostly stripped my car and am getting close to that stage. I'll be finishing rest of the project.

I've looked at a few in the GTA. BOOTHILL auto is great. But their shop rate is next level at $130 an hour.

I'm considering  Southern Ontario auto restore. Some of their build threads look good and their rates aren't nearly as rich. $75 paint and body, $85 Mechanical and $95 for welding an fab work. Not a lot of Mopar work though.

Curious what others have used and their experiences.

Nope I have not been to the places you are asking about
Mostly do my own work

I was snooping on kijiji one day for something to do looking for a dream job  :icon_smile_big:

This place popped up but it is a little farther out

They had an ad for shop help

I know nothing about them either

PS  They had a VW bus in one picture also and thought it was the same place you posted about

Thanks for the suggestion, I've seen that website before and forgot about it. He's got a lot more work on it to browse. I'll reach out to them also.

I currently live in Oakville, but when I had my Charger done about three years ago I lived in Milton. Checked out a couple of shops in Milton but there was a backlog as collector cars were worked on in their spare time and the wait was longer than I was prepared for.

Won't go into all the details because it is in my build thread but I rescued it from one shop in Shelbourne and had towed down the road basically to The Guild https://www.guildclassiccars.com/ in Bradford. I worked with them to get my car at the point I wanted it. Body work, paint and vinyl roof install.

Nice 72!

I've heard of the guild before. But I assumed they were also going to have some super high shop rate. Great experience overall I guess?

They do but cut me some slack because I had taken my car to one of their former employees shop after watching him on their tv show. That former employee they are/were suing so they felt bad that they had maybe in a way lead me to seek him out.

My advice is strip the car down as much as you can, I used what I basically had in my tool box to get the job done. Good luck.

I have a link to a Utube channel in my build thread in the general q&a thread where u can see some of the stuff on the car if u want to get an idea prior.

Back N Black

I had my charger (bodywork and paint) done at Eastway collision in Pembroke Ont. They did an excellent job. The car is black and flawless.
