I think this is it as well.  It had 9800 miles back then and I remember it because the owner wanted to put a console in it....

Just 6T9 CHGR

This was on ebay back on 11/7/2006.....9885 miles  not sure what the selling price was.

7/3/2009 new owner from Ontario, Canada registered it

This was the write up....

9885 ORIGINAL MILES!

Super low mile car!

Low Minimum bid!

This is the most exciting car we have ever had the priviledge to find.  We recently purchased this car from the estate of the original 1-owner.  The car was bought at Garrett Dodge, in Akron, Ohio on March 31, 1969.  We have copies of the original title.

The original owner only bought this car to use as a pure street racer. He didn't drive it daily, and as a matter of fact only took to the drag strip a couple times.   He as a mechanic and an auto parts store owner and knew exactly what to do with the car.

The car is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, 2dr hardtop in the original silver paint that still shines, with black bucket seat interior in excellent condition. The owner installed a tachometer and Bell steering wheel, however we have the original to go with the car.  The car is powered by the 375 h.p. 440 ci V8, with automatic and then some.

Racing modifications: The owner installed a 6 pak 3-2 barrel carb set up on an Edelbrock manifold. The car also has tube headers, and non-stock exhaust.  The tranmission is beefed with a manual shift override which I am told can be easily put back.  When we got the car it was on 30 year old Atlas Bucron tires with gray finish five spoke mags which will come with the car. However, for safety we installed a set of red line bias OEM tires that match the never on the ground spare on original steel wheels and poverty caps.  The really nice part is the former owner kept every part he removed and we have all of the original parts including 4bbl carb, Air cleaner, exhaust manifolds, original exhuast system, steering wheel, everything to put the car back to bone stock is with the car. OR, leave it as is as a time capsule of '60's cruise night street racing. This car is an icon!

For some reason this car really intrigues me!
I'm curious why the car has gotten flipped so many times.

Geezuz, not nice to nit pick.... it's a great Car and I mean just THAT  :2thumbs:
But just wondering how in the heck did the Fender tag get so bad in 12,000 miles ?

same goes for the underhood in the 2015 photo ?

I guess actual mileage has little to do with underhood condition as mine shows 140,000 original unrestored condition and still in far better underhood condition ?

Could it be maybe living in the Ohio rust belt region the 'atmosphere' is also rough on the Cars even when stored and NOT driven ?

Wow!
$75,100 and reserve not met. I was guessing reserve was $75,000.
Is anyone here bidding for this car? I wish I had the money to bid. Nice car! Its out of my price range unfortunately!

Probably the reason it gets passed around is that the new owner of a car such as this is more caretaker, than driver, at least that's how I would look at it. I wouldn't drive it nearly as much as even a restored car. They're only new once.....

And on value, both the US greenback and the CDN dollar, are getting more worthless by the day.... The value of assets such as these aren't going up, so much as you need more money to equal the value, if you know what I mean..... All this money printing is no good for the money you already have in hand.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

I just don't believe these cars with so called low mileage.  Come on, 12,000 miles, really..........?  I don't believe it.

Detriot made millions of cars every year.  There will be oddball stories.

That was back when cars fell apart quickly.  And the roads got lots of salt in the winter.  You had to drive any car sparingly if you wanted to preserve it at all.

The average US driver needed to drive fewer miles back then.  Shorter commutes & less sprawl.

The average US car buyer was less strapped for cash (read: other cars to use).

The gas crisis caused a ton of muscle cars to be abruptly parked (or just used sparingly) when they were only a few years old.  Gas didn't really get cheap again for another 10-15 years.

Add up the factors.  It can happen.

I believe it. My car was similar with similar history. My car was a Street raced car raced on the streets in the 1970's & then stored in Garage all through out the 80's & 90's & 2000's. Still being stored now in 2021. Rarely Driven since 1982. I think this car is Similar. You don't put alot of miles on a street raced car with 4:56 rear gear ratio & built motor & trans like my car had. Your not going to drive the Family on across the Country Vacation with 4:56 gears in a Race Car. There have been many Drag Raced cars raced at the Strip with much lower miles like only a few hundred miles. Not hard to believe. LEON.

I think they/whoever owns the Charger now after it's changing hands so many times ?
must have some kind of documented history proving the mileage.

I was just curious as to what conditions led to the poor Fender Tag and Underhood condition seen in the 2015 Photo's ? Was it the Ohio rust belt atmosphere while in storage ?

Because,
and to tell the truth here, I could easily detail my '69 R/T SE's underhood which is in far better condition... and It's Fender Tag also being in far better condition.... and Pass mine off as an "Original 45,000 mile example" ? is strictly visual survivor conditions were the criterion ?
But Actually 145,000 Miles with history back to the original owner who is still alive.

I'm sure there are probably LOTS of high mileage survivors out there UN-rebuilt/Un-restored with also far better underhood and Fender Tags condition ?
