Anyone do this? I saw a thread where several said they were, but no one posted photos or replied to my messages so not sure they're active anymore.

I'm not a 3rd Gen guy, but I have seen threads in the past where it was done.  Your simple solution, assuming you plan to run something aftermarket, would be a pre-made Dash Panel like this:

You can call Dakota Digital, they usually custom fit their gauges into your dash bezel. They make them for 2nd gen Chargers with Tic Toc Tach.

What they look like.

Yeah more like Mopar nuts.  I've seen that cluster before.  I like the wood grain look and want to keep it.  Just new guages.  Dakota digital doesn't do 3rd gens.

I scored.  New mint condition 3rd gen cluster bezel so when it arrives I'm going to see if their is a way to mount new ones in it.

Allways custom made jobs. Some have been posted around here but I think nobody made or posted the "formula" to make it so is about a personal job decisions made while building it. Ppl allways post the final results already mounted but not the build process or the rear view before install on car. There is one nice job made on one car I have allways loved. Will post pic later ( not on my PC at this moment )

Exactly what I'm looking for.

Wish he shared what gauges and stuff..

Maybe it will be more clear when my empty cluster arrives..

I guess most of these setups used the housing to mount them, cutting the holes and creating the way to attach them. Some other could maybe use just the bezel and this plastic piece holding the weight! Dunno. I guess will depend on gauges selection

or

( this with tach/clock hole )
