I'm building a resto-mod '69 Charger with Auto trans., TTI 440-200 headers, Mini-starter,  etc.

Was wondering if I need to add the starter splash shield ?

Does it cause issues with water getting in starter if I don't have one  ?

Thanks,

I ran for years missing one but have one now.  :scratchchin:

not needed but nice to have it. 73/74s got splash shields too attached to K member but in Venezuela they were never installed from factory.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html
