I guess I never drove my 66 when weather was cold. Today realised I had a huge cold air blow from under the dash, on left hand side from a large black box. How can I close it? Did not found any lever or button.
On other cars I have, it is a direct opening to the exterior with a lever to open/close it.
I also have a smaller grilled box with a close/open flap, that's the large one I am questionning about

2nd gens have a manual cable control under the dash, maybe someone disconnected it

EricS

Thank you, do we have a knob or something on the other end of this cable?

Red arrow. Push to shut off fresh air.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

OK mine is on the right side of the steering wheel and I found it !
Strange I missed it yesterday but sometime you're too close to notice things.

There should be a knob on both sides of the steering column
One for each side of the car

The knob I used activated the driver's side. Will check passenger...

If you have a factory AC car, there will be no pull knob on the passenger side of the steering column. Only one for the driver side

Yes factory AC car and yes, nothing on passenger's side...
