As per pic #1 is a early 70's ICM for an electronic ignition but is #2 a part of the system as well, want to change everything out having intermittent problems.

AKcharger

#2 isn't any MOPAR type ignition part I've ever seen. looks like it's in place of the voltage regulator??

I'd treat EVERYTHING as suspect, that's probably a (Cheaper) GM part. remember 50+ years for people to molest these cars in addition to HORRIBLE quality "new' parts from China

Go step by step and just because a part is new doesn't mean it's good!

#2 might be part of a seat belt interlock system if your car is new enough to have that. It's been many years since I have seen them so I don't remember what the components look like. But it looks like it could be held to the firewall with factory fasteners.

#2 is the voltage regulator for the charging system....if it's working fine, leave it alone
