The HURST "stick script" on the shifter is the style used for mid-'68 when they changed over from the Inland shifter. Was this style script ever used on a '69?

I do believe my 1st T7 4speed C500 had that HURST machined section in it.......

This is from Richard's 610 C500, the Press Release twin to mine......  The shifter is clearly seen to have the HURST in it.. Obviously these 1st 500's had carry-over 68 stuff, like this and the black exterior door handle buttons.

Notice the more common outlined HURST script on this shifter compared to the one in the white 500...

This car was built a few cars after my former 69 500. My car was 239388,this one is 239407.

What's a fair price on this car? I really like the painted transmission.

Good Question.

What's a fair price?

Set a high reserve, see how far it gets bid-up and then do a deal with the highest bidder, (somewhere in between)?

A perfect 440 4-speed C500 is $100,000. (auto is $90K)

A perfect 426 4-speed C-500 is $200,000... :scratchchin: :shruggy: :-\ (this one $195k due to missing bits)... :rotz:

Not a bad investment for a $750 (hemi) option in 1969... :2thumbs:

my estimate before going to look at the car is $120-130k for this car. Its not numbers matching, and isn't restored to any kind of an OE level.

Hammered down at $145K. I went to the auction to view the car. It was a nice looking car, but very far from the advertised OE style restoration. Car was missing the grille extension pieces, missing braces on front bumper. The entire interior was reproduction pieces from legendary. Carpet was replaced, console was cracked (original console but a tan one that was dyed red). headliner, seat covers, door panels and seat belts were are all replaced since new. Left quarter panel has had work done if not the entire thing replaced at some point. Trunk floor had been replaced.  Engine was not original to car.

After looking at the car my personal opinion was that if anyone was going to bid over $115K the seller should take the money and run. Seller got more than that, he should definitely be happy and pleased.

Did THE 500 not get the driver side remote mirror?

It was an option just like any other 69 B-body... However the Charger R/T was built is what Creative converted..

So "Hammered down at $145K" means out the door at $159.5K?   I would have found that temping for a hemi 4-speed aero car in that color combo.  I sold my C500 Hemi Auto for less but not a lot less than that.

I went to look at the car at the auction. its not a terrible car by any means, but my assessment after viewing it in person was that anything over $115K the seller had better be taking the money and running.

Car was non number matching. Entire interior was aftermarket pieces, other than upper door pads. Carpet, headliner, seat covers and seat belts all replacement pieces. Console was cracked, it was a tan console that had been dyed red. Car was missing grille extension pieces on the front, and was missing bumper bracing. Other minor issues with the car as well. Plus side its a Hemi 4 speed.
