It also has a fake fender tag. CRW (white leather interior) was never available for the 1969 Charger SE.

Good looking 500 but for that sort of money you would have gotten obvious things correct, like the rear side marker lens bezels NOT painted stripe color. They should be body color.

That a 500 thing only, as all the other Dodge's are stripe colour...  :yesnod:

How much more would this car be worth if (every thing else being the same) it had a 4 speed vs. the automatic?

I think it's a beautiful car. The nuances or "incorrect" items can be fixed. Asking prices are just that: asking prices.

I've got a real, numbers matching Panther Pink T/A Challenger that I am seriously considering selling, but I've come to the conclusion that I'll have to cancel my membership to all the MOPAR sites I'm on, before I advertise it. Why? Because I don't want to read about my car being crucified as to what it is and what it isn't.

Asking price definitely dictates the amount of "picking apart" a for-sale vehicle, and the hardest part for a private seller is to know what that fair price is, to minimize the scrutiny. A seller can always come down but can't really go up (unless it's a house in today's market)! :Twocents:

Would love to see that pink challenger!  If my wife saw it I think my bank account would take a massive hit.

They claim about 10%, but it seems that having 3 pedals adds more like 15-20% in my opinion.  :yesnod:

Would it still make it worth that much more if it was factory an auto but changed to a 4 speed set up ??

I personally don't think so... If this was a regular Charger and you did that, maybe, but not this... But, that is my own personal opinion...

Just a note for whomever maintains the registry.

I noticed today that VIN XX29L9B232018 is listed on two rows. Namely, rows 246 and 247 of the registry document.

Hi Folks,               16 July 2022

We noticed the front seats do not have head rests. Our former 69 Hemi Daytona that is now Bob J's has them as does our 69 440 Six Pack. What gives?

The underside sure looks impressive, maybe too impressive to put: "On the Road Again."

Sure looks nice.

headrests was a option ! for D series 1968 models  &  for the early build 69 E series  models  with a SPD of 1968.
federal  law mandated all new cars had to have headrests fitted that were built on or after january 1st 1969 :yesnod:

I personally couldn't drive a car without headrests and good seatbelts!

I've been in a crash without belts and my nose got smashed! :slap:

But also been 'hit up the rear' (more than once) in two write-offs too.

Got bad whiplash even with modern safety equipment... :bump: :bump: :bump:

And don't get me started on underfloor paint either... :slap: :slap: :slap: :spank: :spank:

Must be something to do with RED Mopars? (70 sixpack Cuda) :horse:

Motortrend getting 'in on the act' too... :paintingpink:

But forgetting the PAINT issue, I was more interested in the 'strengthening' bars running from the rear to the 'spring perch' mounts!

Very clever and I will add a set to my 'rotisserire' when I do my Charger 500 floors in DARK GRAY (GREY)... :sarcasmalert:

Hi Folks,               17 July 2022

Have perused the posts on this thread. Thinking the reason there are no headrests is probably due to a replacement interior. Didn't see any mention as to "Matching Numbers." The $1.65 Mil Super Bird isn't a matching numbers car so maybe that proves Matching #'s are no longer the big deal it seems to have been.

The undercarriage looks impeccable. This looks like a car a collector friend of ours in Fort Worth / Dallas would have. He has cars all over the area in his warehouses. Guess we'll have to give him a call to see what he knows about it. If it is his, you can be certain it has been over restored, which this looks to have been. Personally, we like it.
