Trying copper header gaskets on a 440 with Mopar aluminum heads and hedman headers. The embossing is toward the header as instructed. The header does not pull up tight to the gaskets like Percy's aluminum did or asbestos gaskets.

Do they crush more when they get hot? Getting ready to fire a new 505 and don't want big exhaust leaks after all the work.

Copper's don't really crush. I only use them on cast manifolds. For headers, nothing is better than Remflex.

And don't forget the opportunity for galvanic corrosion. 3 metals and the aluminum would be the sacrificial anode.

Thanks, replaced them with aluminum
