OK, here's the problem.   Simply put, I don't know how to post pictures.  There.  I said it.  I'm not too computer savvy.  I'm trying to figure it out.   I can say this: It's numbers matching with a build sheet.  It's a U code/automatic car and it's pretty cool.  At some point, I'll figure this tech thing out.....

I can relate to your struggle on posting pictures.
Can you tell us the color?

Of course.   The way I see it, if you're going to get a a Superbird, (a car that according to many has outrageous body lines), why not have it in an outrageous color?  FJ5.

1970Moparmann

Very cool Jim!   Glad it all worked out.    As much as you don't have to give the details on what you paid, was it local to you?  Word of mouth?   How did you cross paths to get it?
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

Hi Jim,               23 October 2022

Not wanting to be a pest, but what color is FJ5?

We like names, like Hemi Orange, Bright Red, Blue, Green, Brown, etc. You get the idea.

Our Daytona was Hemi Orange, V2 we think, our Super Bee is Bright Red, R4 maybe, our Road Runner is Red, ugly red, haven't a clue to its code and could care less as it will be repainted in Bright Red or Black.

How did the car show go? We bet you had a grand time.

Take Care and enjoy your new treasure and DON'T let anyone else drive it except YOU. It's YOURS and you worked hard for it.

Best Always

1970Moparmann - It was a word of mouth thing.  Before I knew it, we made a deal.   It didn't happen overnight.  It took almost a year of back and forth but we got the task done.

426HC - The show went well.  It was by a lake and it was warm here for late October (sunny and 72).  Several people commented that they had never seen a wing car in person and then asked if it was real.  They asked how long I've had it.  I looked at my watch and said "Almost a day - 21 hours".  They thought I was joking but when I told them I got the car the day before the show, they thought that was pretty neat.   I went on to explain my search and the history of wing cars.  There was an indian family who seemed very interested in it.  They spoke broken english but we were able to communicate well.  They took a bunch of pictures of it but their cameras REALLY went crazy when I opened the door and told the kids to get in with mom and dad.  I like to think I did my part to promote future interest in not only wing cars but cars in general.  They were very respectful and thanked me multiple times.   Kinda made my day.

Hi Sarge,                23 October 2022

"I'm glad you found it!"

So are we! It took Jim a bit over a year, that's right good; there are many still looking.

Being in the right place at the right time with cash in hand is a serious bargaining chip.

Take Care

The *999 chart colors for Dodge are interesting. Maybe the Plymouth 999 colors are on the other side of the page...  :scratchchin:

3 digits should always be used when referring to these older Mopar Colors. By only using 2 digits not all 2 digits are the same. For example, I've seen many people spray their Car the wrong B5 Blue. Why, because 70 B5 Blue is different than 71 B5 Blue. LEON.

YES, A 1969 & 1970 Car in B5 blue would be EB5 while the 1971 Car would be GB5. G for 1971.  LEON.
