72 Charger axle code

1972 Charger Rally 440-4 auto.

The fender tag on the top line shows engine/trans and axle codes 772 and 042. I'm pretty sure the 772 is for 440-4bbl auto.

Anyone know what the axle code 042 represents?

#042 is a 3:23 8 3/4 non sure grip with 10 inch drums & 1 7/8" Pinion. for 71-72 B Body. Hope that helps LEON.
