I went to Moparfest in New Hamburg for the first time yesterday so Saturday Aug 20
Boy was it a hot day weather wise
Drove my 69 Charger there and back was 330 mile round trip
My car was #1581 so easy they had 1600 cars at the show

3/4 of all the cars were from 1965 to 1975 era
Only saw 2 older rides One was a 1957 Plymouth and the other was about same era old Dodge truck

The rest were the new or newer type stuff

Some pictures I took
First pic I stopped along the way to pick up a friend to go with me
2 and 3 my parking spot on the field

I see I have a big finger than gets into a few pics I take with my phone  :brickwall:

There was a blue Daytona clone
Got to talk with the owner and he has a couple left over parts I still need for my clone project  :2thumbs:

Old Monaco station wagon looks like all original paint

There was a real Superbird there
From what I could hear others saying the new owner had just got it and brought it out to the show
I looked but the VIN was covered up so no luck there
Hard to get pictures as so many people around it
It did have the rear window plug in it

There must have been 20 second gen Chargers at the show

First picture is what my car originally was painted like

Last picture just heading back to my friends house to drop him off and getting some gas
At this point it was pouring rain  :eek2:

Yes my car leaks
Waited as long as we could and it slowed down some but did not stop

Dropped him off and the goodies he bought and then headed another hour and half the rest of the way home
I got rained on for about half an hour so not too bad

I still have to fill my car up now that I am home and going to figure out my mpg just out of curioustiy at averaging 75 mph mostly for the trip

This is the only thing I picked up for my car
I needed the center pad as someone had cut a big hole in mine just under the radio to add a tape played by the looks of it
Had to buy the complete set as seller would not split them up
Only problem is these new parts look so much better than the rest of my car I will just have to save them till I redo my interior

As much as I love living in the mid-west I am envious of the great events you have in the bigger areas. We don't have much out here which always has surprised me. In the Rapid City area there are thousands of cars but nothing big from Mopar here. They have Deadwood Nights and there are Corvette shows and Mustang shows and even Camaro shows that are in Sturgis. But I have never seen a Nationalized Mopar show anywhere close. But always enjoy seeing the pictures!

Its a friend of mine, he bought the car up in Ontario and hauling it back home to New Brunswick after the show.

I was driving from Woodward Dream Cruise on Sunday towards Niagara Falls and was going to stop in to see what Moparfest was all about. Unfortunately it was raining pretty hard on Sunday so the wife and I decided to just keep going. Hope that wasn't a bad choice...

Wow that is good mileage for sure. I have a 440 4bbl 727 auto and 2.7 gears in my bird and can only manage 12 at best. Have never checked the charger 426 6 pack 727 auto and 2.7 gears. But I would think it is about the same.
