That is a very fine looking Daytona. I see a bunch of little, easily fixed incorrect items in the engine bay and trunk, but it looks beautiful in the pictures. I don't think the auction company understands the market-is it a matching #'s engine or transmission; is there a build sheet; does build sheet match VIN-all some of the first couple of questions I would ask. The ansers would greatly affect the sale price.

did it make any claims about numbers matching? What do you think this will go for? Seems like this auction format will not get them top dollar. 10% buyers premium on an online auction seems steep too. Anyone bought from this company before?

70 sublime

Valance corners filled in

Different hood ?

I see the hood pin chrome washers on the hood have the screws in a square shape like a 70 Charger
I thought Daytona were in a diamond shape one screw at the very front instead of square across
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

Hi triple_green,              06 September 2022

EDIT: 25 September 2022

Deleted original post I made in this thread. It was intended for a different thread as noted below:

I screwed up. The post I made here on 06 September 2022 about an engine fire was meant for thread: "Re: 69 Daytona 355140" and not the Daytona in this thread. Must have been smoking rope or drinking something, neither of which I do. Sorry for my screw up and thank you for calling me on it.

Hi, how do we know this car had an engine fire? I must have missed that. Thanks!

The sale price was $337,500 if anyone is interested. Seems like a lot, but maybe 300K is the going rate for a restored Daytona now

Hi triple_green,               25 September 2022

Sorry, my faux pax, that comment was meant for thread "Re: 69 Daytona 355140" which had the engine fire.

I'll go back and edit my erroneous post.

Thanks for calling me on it. Big difference in the two Daytona's.

Thanks again for the kick in the ass.

The auction states that there will be a 10% buyer's fee so more like $371K.  YIKES!
