Looks to be well detailed. However, this is a "tribute" car, even though authenticated by Bobby in 1999. Is this the consensus?

Hi Duncan,              12 September 2022

We've been trying to figure out if this is the original car or as you said: "A Tribute." In our book, it makes all the difference in the world. The one thing that we see that does not look correct is the nose. Last but not least, can it safely do 200 on Talladega? If we were considering buying it, we'd want some assurances that it would do what the real McCoy would do.

Odcics2 (Greg) sold his at MECAN for a bit over $500K. His is the real deal. Thought it should have brought at least $1Mil. Greg spent 24 years restoring his #93 Daytona. Would love to have it.

Hope your car has safely arrived home. All is well here. Scott should be here within the next two weeks. He will be operating from here (Phoenix). Has his own company and a broker. Already has cars scheduled to bring here from the north. Lots of folks winter over here; no snow and generally warm during the day, jackets in the evening. Summer is fairly warm, in the hundreds, 100 - 111 and low humidity (10%) this season. It's cooling off a bit now.

Take Care amigo

Yes, seems like it is a tribute, although potentially could be the real deal, just not definitive. The paper work from 1999... it would seal the deal for some, but others would want more concrete evidence. My car is still in CA, waiting on shippoing dat for the last 4 weeks.....I left a good FB review for Scott, hope it goes well for him, and you!!

Thanks Duncan,                 12 September 2022

Spoke to Scott this afternoon; he's on his way rounding up six cars to transport here for the winter. He should arrive around Saturday. Looking forward to his arrival. He sold his place in Minnesota and is moving here. Now I'll get a chance to earn my CDL with an instructor that has many years of over the road experience.

I'll let Scott know You posted an "Atta Boy" for him. Matt and Scott's brother are brokering for him. A win win for the three of them.

Hope you get your car soon so you can post photos of it here. I'm sure it will be a big hit at Car shows there in New Zealand.

Take Care Amigo.

Hi Duncan,           15 September 2022

Think you're correct. There's a Daytona that was built as a tribute. Think it's the one for-sale. If you read the MECUM blurb, they seem to dance around authenticity. Not the original engine, just a 426 rebuilt Hemi. The Marty Robbins car that was auctioned did not sell, didn't meet the reserve. Still for sale by the owner.

The one odcics2 (Greg) Restored over 24 years, DC #93, Car 88 is the real deal. It sold for $500K+, don't remember the exact figure. In our book it's a $1Mil+ Genuine NASCAR warrior.

Don't think the so called Bobby Allison #22 will come close to Greg's #93. Just our opinion, which like ass holes, everyone's got one.
