Daytona hood safety latch

My car was missing the hood safety latch which I know should be the 69 latch. They seem to all have round holes but I've seen pictures that appear to have slotted holes or additional hoses. I have a picture from John Borzych's thread and one from Winged Warriors site. Can anyone educate me?

The one I have has round holes. (Dated 0159, it looks like)

Mines been modified. Handmade slotted holes I would call them. Whatever it took to get it to fit.

Looks the same except for the pull rod removed and existing holes in latch

Yes Dave they do. You can't see in this picture but mine still has the plastic bushing for the pull rod stuck in it.

Thanks, to be honest that is what I was expecting given other examples of "whatever it took" but it's nice to actually see an example. Sorry I didn't respond right away, we were at MCACN and I really wasn't on the internet much.
