CHEAP power steering cooler.....

In early 2001, I put a power steering cooler in the return line of my power steering system in my Charger. I had some choppy feel from the steering in warm months so I found a factory cooler in a mid 80s M body Diplomat/Gran Fury police car. Back then, those cars still showed up in the junkyards often.
Lately I've thought that I should start gathering spare parts for this car when I can find them.
There have been none of these cars in the junkyards in awhile so I'm considering alternatives.
I've read that some Dodge/Plymouth Neon models had these so I went junkyarding today to look around.
I pulled this one from a Neon and then found that the PT Cruiser had a similar design.

While at the junkyard, I looked at other Mopar models for other options. These are everywhere:

Their P/S coolers are an even better design and are easy to access for removal.

Compare the simplicity of the Minivan cooler versus the Neon unit:
Half price sale this weekend....NINE bucks!
Even at full price, $18 for an aluminum power steering cooler is a good deal. You'd need to make some type of mounting bracket but these brackets are steel so if you can weld, it is an easy job. If you cant. a simple elbow bracket could be bolted to this one.
These don't have to be in a path of high air flow, just somewhere where they can shed some heat.
Good luck!

How tall is the mini van one ?
Will it stick up a little high if you try to mount it in the same area as they originally were mounted on the V8 ?
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

It is about 11" long. Much too long to mount like the Diplomat/Gran Fury one.
I'm thinking of mounting it horizontally below the battery tray, using the flange on the frame rail as an attachment point.
