THE CHARGER PUNK

man that car  right there and its history is nothing short of the definition of COOL

Ghoste

And just so you know, I truly doubt you could post so many pictures of those cars that we'd get sick of seeing them.  We already have a sickness here and all you'd be doing is feeding our disease. :icon_smile_big:

262chargers

Very cool story, its awesome that you have kept the car as-is, it is one of the baddest-ass cars with one of the baddest-ass histories a car could have, thank you for preserving the history! And thank you for the pictures, we NEED more more more!  :yesnod:  :2thumbs:

Honestly the Queen Daytona ended up being the Fastest of all three car, it ended up with a gutted interior, One piece lift off front end, and the Kieth Black built HEMI with a Clutchflite, I think the Queen was The most thought out and Best Built Daytona in Big Willies Stable, the King Daytona is what put him on the Map with Mopar lovers and is the Legend car he had, but it also was a Stock Daytona with a Nasty engine and Trans at the time of Two Lane Blacktop and The American racing wheel ad, Pretty much the same way mine sets except the Nasty engine part, then he Gutted it and cut all the extra wieght he could but it really wasn't that Nice of a car when he was running it, the Queen reminded me more of a Pro Stocker, of the era, Dressed as a Daytona..
Don't get me wrong I would Love to have the King Daytona, and I am not downgrading it, or talking bad about it, in any way, things Progress, That is the way it is, and it didn't skip Big Willie and Tomiko, if compared I would say the Queen Daytona was like a 1972 Pro Stock car, and The King Daytona was like, WELL, exactly what it was, An Early 70s BAD ASS STREET RACE CAR..

so as u were stating with the interior it has those halloween 71 charger seats orange/black, but does the interior have a tach or aftermarket guages anywhere or is it all stock?-MATT

It doesn't have any Halloween seats, they have been recovered with some custom style stuff, it has the factory tach and there are screw holes in the bottom of the dash where it looks like a two gage bracket was at one time..

Another picture or two from last weekend

WilliesDaytona

One more, If you look at the leading edge of my hood you can see the EV2 Orange from when it was on the King Daytona and the F6 green Metalic from when it was on the Queen Daytona..

THE CHARGER PUNK

is that a steel hood or a glass hood?

THE CHARGER PUNK

im just wondering but could u take some pics on the interior? Also have you scanned any pics of the king and the queen cars yet??? ;D any or all of th pics stated would be wonderful-MATT

It's either that or R4.  If you look around the headlight buckets and scoops, you can see remnants of its previous hue.  I was thinking maybe R4 since the color looks slightly off from the V2 peeking out on the hood - I could be wrong though...

BigBlockSam

that is such a cool daytona.
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Hi, just wanted to say as my first post that the Big Willie American Racing Wheels advert had a huge influence on me as a kid in England in the 70`s. I own 6 Mopars now, five of which run American Racing Wheels; The power of advertising! As its their anniversary they should re-issue that poster. Am loving the information and pictures of Big Willies cars; Dude, you are such a fortunate guy to own that car. Best of luck to you and to Big Willie......
