There are about 370 Daytonas accounted for.  So there are still quite a few out there yet to be discovered.

Theres a yellow Daytona here, I don't have the vin. info. it is a 440 car automatic. Black int. no tail stripe. If I can get ahold of the owner again. I'll see if he can post more info. Theres also a FC7 about an hour away but not sure if it's a clone or real.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

69_500

My personal opinion is that there is exactly 500 of the Daytona's that were built. With 45 of them being Candian cars.

No Daytonas came in Plum Crazy (FC7), as that was a high-impact color introduced in the 1970 model year. I guess somebody could have painted a real Daytona FC7 (my Q5 Daytona actually wore FC7 briefly), but my guess is that if you see a Daytona in purple, it is probably a clone.

How many of the "accounted for" are surviving (restored or salvageable)?

Hi Folks,          05 September 2022

According to nascarxx29's post above, there were only 36 Hemi Daytona's built, not the 70 that seems to be bandied about in most literature relative to Daytona's. There are other authoritative posts on this site that concur with nascarxx29's.

It seems Hemming's, BJ and MECUM, as well as other not so prominent houses, still adhere to the old 70 figure. The real experts on this sight know more about this stuff than most all the self styled experts out there. When are the big shots out there going to realize they have been screwing themselves with that phony 70 number. The fact that there were ONLY 36 Hemi Daytona's should make them even More Valuable.

So the real numbers are: Hemi-36 for the 47 states, which includes the state of Canada.

Wasn't there a dust up in 1812 that was remotely related to that subject? Whatever; Welcome to the US Canada !!!

There are precisely 6 left and unaccounted for.  2 in a barn, 1 in a hen house, 1 in a basement, 2 in garages.  All 6 are Hemi 4 speed cars.  All 6 are untitled with less than 10 miles on each

Before you laugh at or ridicule my response, I guarantee it's as accurate as anyone else's.

Hi rainbow4jd ,                     20 September 2022

Just where, might we ask, can we find these six 10 Mile Hemi Daytona 4-spd cars? We have been looking 53 years for these very jewels . . . . to no avail.

"This ain't no shit;" you can tell us via PM, XM or BM; we promise we won't let the cat outta the bag, Girl Scout's Honor!!! Yes, we be ex Navy and never tell "Sea Stories."

You do know what "Sea Stories" are . . . . right? They begin with: "This ain't no shit" and end with: "Things have been fucked up ever since." We didn't end with the latter, so our post be true and grammatically correct.

Hi Stevetona,                 05 October 2022

What?? "True-Dough" a Dick-Tater? Never in one second would we have assumed such. We know he is. You folks need to send him to Iran or Cuber.

Used to visit Canada during the summers in my early life. Took our Daytona up there a couple times in 1974. Wouldn't think of it today what with your Dick-Tater's love of freedom. Don't feel alone with a Dick-Tater, "we gots one two," think he goes by "Go Brandon." I don't know whose the luckiest here. Think you win on that score, not by much, but at least your "Tater" can talk.

Hoping things get better both for Canada and the US. Ain't holding my breath though.

I think that's A833Wings clone.  He writes with purple font & lived in the Seattle area.

Then Junemanns fc7 1970 V code that's cruely misrepresented.
