An unfortunate accident occured when timing my 440 a piece of black convolute tubing got blown to the back of the engine and hit the headers and melted to the side on my new ceramic headers any advise for removing it safely would be appreciated thanks zep440

Shakey

I don't have any experience with ceramic coated headers but I would think that cleaning them up might just take a but of TLC.

Consider these ideas.

Obviously you don't want to nick the ceramic so if you need something to scrape the melted plastic off, use something plastic or perhaps a popsicle stick.  Maybe you could heat it slighty with a torch, and simply wipe it off with a rag that has some solvents on it.

Never done it, just some thoughts.

Good luck.
