Same as 68-69 charger.A diagram can be found in the charger shop manual. As your car started as a 70 with electric headlights. You need to put the hole in the firewall for hoses to go to vacuum can and headlight actuators. As far as the factory metod of routing .The vacuum harness and wiring harness are joined. And share a similar route.I dont have any pictures of that detail

Awesome pix , thank you . now I'm confused , on daytonas it looks like they ran the hoses over the rad support , not through it , it looks cleaner through it .

Yes, I believe they did run them over at about the spot where they added the extensions. I just took some pictures of the setup on Hemigeno's car but they are at home. I'll try to post them later.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

hemigeno

Larry, you are correct.  For whatever reason, the Daytona's hoses ended up being routed OVER the radiator yoke.

Here are two pics of Dave's engine compartment which shows the hose routing:

I love you guys , thanks ! One more question , foes the valence rear lip go on top of rad support flange or under it ?

It goes under the radiator support flange...  I just walked out and checked.

There seems to be a special retainer of sorts as well.....

Thank you to all ! This car is pushing me to my limit , I will persevere !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry,

I just dug around and found the official Superbird routing diagram.  Daytona would be similar.  It just confirms everything that's been posted up to this point...

Hemidog

could someone take a picture of the vacuum connector on the engine?
i've just bought the vacuum hose set, my car didn't have any, it also has a 400 engine in it.
don't really know where to put the vacuum connector hose...

69_500

Nice Photo's guys.

The question is then on a 500 which way do they go? Come on somebody must have a picture of that too?

Nice looking engine compartment on the HEMI Daytona as well. Not as clean as the T5 Daytona. Then again Chris your engine compartment is very nice as well.

daytonalo

The first three pix are of a 500, take note cupcake of the hoses , they go through the rad support !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

69_500

Nah those pics are of a R/T.

A cupcake would be nice though.

daytonalo

I was told their the same minus vac hoses

69_500

Could be. I don't know that is why I asked. I've seen 500's with their hoses ran every which way. Some 500's have the hose cut off at the firewall. Others have it cut off where it meets the radiator core support. Others like mine have the entire hose still there, just no canister.

Thanks it seems that with 500's I need all the help I can get. :)
