this black one looks kinda weird too,.. front looks too long and flat and the rear roof line looks funny too... not a great pic waay too small... :-\

I really like those photos of the 1971 cars, & the headlight doors really look great. The angles make the pics look better than some of the other photos I've been seeing, including the ones in the magazines. I was lucky enough to see all of them in person at several shows in CT & Carlisle, very nice work.  :2thumbs:

Actually, it does look good in green. If a guy was building a resto-mod / g-machine it would be kosher, but as a true clone, I don't think that I would go there.
Would be a legit color for a superbird though.

I don't like vinyl tops. The only exception would be if I decided to resto the R/T SE since it is (was) triple black.
I think that I was referring to my wife's superbird clone project in that post since real superbirds all had vinyl tops. I love the superbird clones where they didn't go with the vinyl top. I've even seen a real bird without a vinyl top. They filled the plug in smooth and left the vinyl top off. Looked so good. If I remember correctly, the birds were originally planned to be finished out, but were behind schedule and to save time added the vinyl top. Not real sure. We would need someone smarter than me to confirm that.
At Topeka last week was a superbird with the hood extension welded in smooth. Looked great in my opinion.

 Blue, that lightning bolt on the tail was on a few nascar chargers back in the day, i belive it was some sort of "Charger" logo,.. I think the wingcar site has more pics of racing DAYTONAS with that graphic...

No, that looks awful.  The Taurus (or whatever) hubcaps look terrible too.  Even if it is just a mockup, that stuff should be better than that.

What do you see that looks so awful? besides the hubcaps and missing valence?   The thing looks like it's on straight to me.   What are you seeing that I'm missing? the nose cone is on straight, just missing the valence and rubber around the nosecone which I'm sure he'll put on later.   The scoops looks good.      ??????
