I had to get the car off dolly to finalize body work . Temporally installed rear suspension and front k-frame with 5/8 all-thread in place of shock to lock up the suspension . Also final fit of fabricated grill frame [made in my shop] and the correct mesh grille from Mike G .

Looking sweet. My boss asked me when was the last time you saw a gold Daytona w/a black tailend. I hate it when he gives me ideas about paint when I am pretty close to painting more parts for mine, and then he says crap like that!.
Mark
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

daytonalo

I'm on the same page ! , I will be ready for paint real soon and have not found a color ! I like to be  different , years ago I had a 69 GTS dart , 383 in F-3 [light green poly met ] . I loved that color

looks great Larry.  :2thumbs: i understand the torture thing. my r/t fought me every step of the way. Rene

As for the torture part, I second that emotion. A few months ago I told my son that my chal convert was fighting me and didn't want to be re-assembled. After working on it with me for just a couple of hours, he agreed. It doesn't make sense why the same parts that we took off don't seem to fit when we try to put them back on. Maybe our dis-assembled projects somehow know what today's drivers are like out there on the road and they fear for their lives. I know I do.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Gettin' close to color...congrats. You are motivating me to get back on mine. It has stalled out!  Keep us posted Daytonalo.

Definately looks like the progress is coming along really nicely.

Have you made a decision on the final color combination?

Viper Red on a 69 Charger with black top:
1971 Charger R/T, 440 H.P., Auto, A/C Daily Driven (till gas went nuts).  NOW IN CARS FOR SALE SECTION: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,48709.0.html

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

daytonalo

Nice choice , too bloody for me . I made a final decision , House Of Color , sunset orange pearl .

BigBlockSam

You guys must think I'm the most indecisive person in the world ! The problem is you think you like a color then you see it in person and it looks like crap . I like many of the hi-impact mopar colors , but not on a daytona , although I love House Of Colors , Sunset Pearl

69_500

Nah your not indecisive. I'm indecisive, I can't decide on anything other than 500's and Daytona's. That and my wife are about the only things in my life I've made a decision on.
