Hey DS440 you helped me out with my 73 WannaBee build, noe I am working on a 71 Duster 340 Twister package.  I am thinking plumb Crazy purple with White stripe Blacked out hood with the two hood scoops and 340 wedge decal White side stripes with the 340 on the rear quarter, go wing, 340 duster tail pannel and white interior with rallye wheels.  Could go with gun metal gray twister hood treatment with two scoops and black side stripes, 340 decal, duster tail panel treatment and go wing with black interior.  Thanks Allen

THanks to ds440 for the dartona topless, thanksagain. you went far above with finding a 72 or 73 to start with and it sure looks great with the 500 mags and DARtona stripe.  thanks alot i had given up on a photo shop and did acut and paste on real paper.

Can someone with skill transfer Ds440's Dartona topless to my Dartona pics of wing cars by djcarguy????thanks

Thanks, I am not a big fan of plumb crazy, it has just been so over done, but it does look great on a Duster.  I saw a 72 charger rallye in gunmetal and had to change my shirt after drueling all over it :drool5: could have been the Rallye (my favorite 3rd gen) DS440 helped me make almost every decision on the Wannabee :2thumbs:

I have to say, it looks real good on the Duster and the white graphics realy sets it off   The funny thing is my brother was in town over the weekend and I showed him the Duster.  He said he always wanted a duster.  I told him I was thinking of doing it in sublime.  He said if it was his he would go plumb crazy.  After trying to sell it to him, I started thinking about plumb crazy.  Now that I think about it, I bet there arent many panther pink with white graphics and interior, out there :scratchchin:

did chrysler have a darker grey back then? my mother had a 72 new yorker that seemed to have a darker grey that would actually change colors with the weather.   :yesnod:

Thanks DS440 Did the hood black out cover the fender tops, upper doors, and upper quarters like pictured from the factory?  It looks great, but for some reason I thought the hood was the only blacked ous section :shruggy: I guess the 340 decal on the hood will fit with the two scoops.  Would it be to much trouble to see the Purple one done in panther pink with white graphics and go wing?  I prefer purple of these two.

From the reference pics I found, yes.  With the 340 blackout hood option, the blackout covered the upper fenders and door.
