My dad and I are looking into getting a crate engine for our resto charger....interior, sound system-DONE Exterior....rust free...needs a little paint job, tlc...So we are looking into the Blueprint Engine's 408ci SB-Chrysler 375HP / 460TQ for around $5000 carb to pan...any ideas...anyone have this engine??? I have heard nothing but problems about my neighbors 360 mopar crates....i say crates, b/c thier on like thier 4th motor, all replaced free of charge but still...way to much hassle and this would be done in my garage...not  a shop....so any ideas on this??? good deal...and where can i find a decent rear??? I dont think my 8 1/4 2.71 open dif will hold...lmao ;D
Thanks,
HemiMk

I have had a bad experience with Mopar crates , I would just build one personally

Just my opinion, but Mopar "crate engines", are good "building blocks" ONLY !  You get what you pay for !

Doin another little 408/INDY stroker deal now for a guy, anybody want pics of some "should be done's " , as we're do it for future reference.?

It's just another pump gas deal, but they dyno @ 535HP/520 torque usually.

I am currently building a 360/408Magnum stroker for my '68 Cuda. My stroker kit came from Indy along with a set of Eddy's. However I would be very interested in some "should be dones". Can't ever get too much info. ;) Please elaborate.

Thanks,
Darren

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
