This reproduction jack is the best on the market right now . It has the correct base , with proper cutouts and has the correct top plate with correctly attached nub , no sloppy welding here . The thread count is not the same although it does have the tapered end . The rivets differ slightly from orig , those rounded rivits are out of production . These are new , not junk yard . painted red with new handle , 375.00 for members only . let me know , taking orders right now !!!! Larry @609-315-2230

This forum has a file size limit of 200 KB, and the JPEGs from most current model digital cameras are about 400 KB to 800 KB in size.  If you email the pictures to me at  xs29j8@charter.net  I will resize them for you.  I will be going to bed shortly tho... 3:45 AM get up time is not that far off... :P

Sorry, that remark was just a figure-of-speech... that is why I used the quotes on "salt mines".

I work for an aircraft company, and the area I work in is underground... with no windows, no outside sights or sounds.  There could be a tornado outside the building and we would not know unless someone called us or we saw in on the Internet!  :icon_smile_big:

The term "salt mines" was coined years ago when we were working 60-70 hour weeks... slaving away in the mines so-to-speak.  :icon_smile_dead:  Now we are on 40 hour weeks and rumors of layoffs are running rampant... :P

Glad you found the resolution setting on your camera.  I usually take pictures at the highest setting like you first did, and resize them as required.

Do you work at the SKUNK WORKS ?

No, that is out in California... I live & work in the Fort Worth, Texas area.  Sorry, but I cannot go into details.

BTW, did anyone ever get you some dimensions for a Daytona jack hold-down bracket?  Or component weights for a Daytona wing?  I have mine for my Daytona, but I don't know how long it would take to find them.  They got packed up during my last move...  I still have over a hundred boxes to sort through!  :P

25 NOS jacks for a Daytona? Did I read that correctly? You purchased a lot of 25 NOS Daytona jack's?

daytonalo

Well , not exactly , although they are new in the box .They are the closest thing to a real superbird or daytona jack out there . Anybody need one ? or two ?

nascarxx29

The superbird /daytona jack handles .Where available in repo in my past wingcar newsletter.Dont know if this guy Mike Jobes still does them or not.You might find a handle at sears or someone who sell scissors jacks.Usually you have to rebend the end that goes into the collar

nascarxx29

Sounds like a decent package deal. Some of the ones I.ve seen claiming to be the real deal on ebay were bogus
.And you could maybe take this existing jack and taper the end shaft weld on top locator pin and cut out the feet and drill the hole for the cotter pin limiter and add the collar bearing. The other alternative is the daytonalo jack. Here what my original and a some other jack I came across looks like

The jack in you pic is not even close . How do I know this ? I ordered one , when it came in I said no thanks , its paper thin, and slightly smaller, no bearing . the top plate is not even on the same planet . LARRY

nascarxx29

Its all in the details.I had 2 previous jacks both red I had from sometime back.Had all the right details except for the top pin. This reference page shows the jack and handle from a documented low mileage original.  To make a comparision to this newly marketed one.

I agree, I can make a jack with the correct thread pitch and correct rivits , only thing I would have to charge 800.00 with handle . Again the new jack is not even close to the orig jack , dimensionally smaller , no bearing , wrong top plate , side bars are thinner . I ordered one to compare , when it came in I said no thanks . Anyway this is the best I can do , maybe you can supply a 100% correct jack , it would take a load off me . Larry

daytonalo

It's a ton of work for a dead nuts correct jack ! Didn't the last one sell for 1200 without handle on e-bay ? Sorry I cant work for free !!!! Larry

nascarxx29

Thats why the real ones command big dollars as they do .I sold one with no jack handle or hold down. For a hemi daytona that was at Roger Gibsons.$3K.Supply and demand such as the rear window trim that just sold for $6K
