Has anyone ever used one of those home rad flushing additives?  My rad isn't that old and my coolant tends to get replaced once or twice a year but right now while it's empty, I'm just wondering about the wisdom of doing this.

i took mine to the rad. shop $20 he boiled it and pressure tested it. i painted it myself. Rene
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

The rad is only two years old.  I was just wondering about cleaning the junk out of the block.  It's only got about 5000 miles on it but that's enough for the crap to build.
