You never learn if you don't ask, so...

What's powder coating?  It sounds like something my wife does...

Its a paint like coating that is baked on your parts.  Starts off as a powder that is applied to a charged piece of metal and then baked in the oven at about 300*.  Once cooled it is very durable and pretty easy to clean.  Comes in just about every color these days too.  I powder coated my whole k-frame in both my cars and it still looks great after years of use.  Hope this helps.
