Since the 500 didn't have hide-away headlamps, shouldn't the 500 scat pack bee loose the shades?   :scratchchin:  :coolgleamA:

I think "SLICK" is the winner. "SLIPPERY" is runner up.
Sorry, no prize! But there is a preview of the Scat bee....a special "500" version!

"Ugly"

Sorry, no offense meant.

I know all about what the car is & what it means to a lot of people, but all the things that made the 2nd generation Charger a great looking car & stand out from the rest of the Dodge line up, was removed for the 500.

Sorry, I agree 100% with this 'suggestion'. They don't do one thing for me....

:brickwall:  The night i came home with my C500 my spouse comes out of the house, looks at the car, looks at me, and and says, "it looks like a big brown turd floating down the road"  :-\

At least she thought it was running at the time  ;D

I agree, it was the first step in aerodynamics  and had  a "500" won the Daytona 500 that year there might never have been  Winged Cars. If the tire situation on the last pit stop was different it could have changed history. :Twocents:

Everyone that's slagging on the 500 for not being quick enough, imagine if Chrysler had shown enough sense to not trot the car all over the damned place first and give Ford lot's of warning.  The 500 was not a failure in the strictest sense, Ford had plenty of time to prepare a counterstrike thanks to marketing.  :Twocents:

It is true that it is the winningest of the aero cars. However that stat is flawed too as it raced in the most races, due to being used on short tracks and superspeedways as well.

Well, I respect your opinion.  Personally I find them a lot more attractive than after the giant wing and Jimmy Durante nose cone were grafted on but it's a big hobby and there's room for both.

I don't have the numbers here in front of me, but I think that over the 2 years it was something along the lines of 22 or 23 wins.
