Well Rene, even after you showed this one to me, I'll say the wing car market still hasn't changed.

I still can't afford one.

Hmmm, still would prefer the 500 to a 4bbl Bird.

It is a nice looking Bird though, I'll give it that. And yeah the prices do seem to be coming back down a tad, but still not to everyday figures.

I don't think I would trust anything from Volo, unless I have seen it in person. Lot's of questions still unanswered on that car. Good Luck to the new owner. Cool floor mats though. Where did he get those?

:yesnod:

I also wouldn't put it past the Volo guys to bid on their own car.  You would have to be a complete idiot to let that car go for 86 grand

According to the seller, the car didn't sell.  It was supposed to be a reserve auction but was listed no reserve.  I guess that allowed them to cancel the sale, but I don't know what all takes place on ebay.  It's supposed to be still for sale at $89k.  That's off the money for a car in that condition even with the slow Mopar maket.   Consider that the rusty B5 4spd 6-pack with service engine, 4bbl intake and wrong rear end went for over $62k.

Regarding the floor mats. They were very popular back in the early 80's. I think that every wing car and other car that my dad had back in the early 80's was wearing similar floor mats. I know I have a picture of the HEMI 500 with those same floor mats, but with RED lettering saying Charger 500.

Side note, but if anyone looks inside of Rick Edwards Superbird he has the same floor mats, or at least he did the last time I looked at his floor boards. He bought the mats from my dad, not sure why my dad had that may sets anyways.
