I have a friend in need: He's reassembling a 1969 Charger 500 that was professionally restored. A reproduction hood insulation pad was bought for it, but strange as it might seem, the the two side end holes do not line up
with the holes in the hood.
So he wonders if it is the (Repop) insulation or the hood? ....hood was replaced with ????....it doesn't come anywhere close to fitting the openings.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Which one are you referring to?  The molded pad?   I have the molded one on my 69 Charger and it fits with no problems....

Please post some pics of the car. I wanna see a 500 freshly restored.

Is he sure he bought the 69 Charger hood pad, and not the 1970 underhood pad? If its the 70 it won't be the same as the 69.
