Looks like it's basically like that "MirraChrome" paint you can buy.  (It ain't cheap either.) 


I expect to see more of that in the future on 'glass front bumpers.

I think the trend these days is black is the new chrome. Interesting stuff though.

i would expect the ricers and blingers to be all over that....
this is a crossfire i think -



in the right hands it could be very useful for the dash facias, light housings inside door pad bases and such, but, in the wrong hands,.. well...  :eek2:

If this takes hold, it's gonna eventually be like faux woodgrain or faux carbon fiber --  A little goes a LOOOONG way. 


And then we'll probably see a bunch of cars where they wretchedly overdo it for a while too. 

(In car-magazine speak, the term is "groundbreaking" or "trendsetting" or "different" when someone wretchedly overdoes a trend that's already a decade old.)
