This is what I love about Dodgecharger.com

Could you please point out what "incorrect fonts" you claimed we use on our Window Stickers?  Thanks!

ECS, so you didn't make the window sticker I posted as incorrect. From what I'm told, you are the only company that reproduces these items. So when I made a statement that it was the wrong font, and it was yours, you can completely understand why I would say that. Perhaps, if you are aware of another company that makes these items in an incorrect manner, you'd be so kind as to enlighten the masses here at this site?

Thank you.  I understand your point and this fraud has become an epidemic in this Hobby.  There are a number of "bootleggers' who are doing the Hobby a tremendous injustice by providing Customers with garbage copies of products they know nothing about.  They think that throwing something out there and claiming it is the "most authentic", somehow validates their ignorance and incorrectness.

Take the example listed below.  According to the article written on the vehicle, a company named American Musclecar Restoration did the work.  I'm not sure if they reproduced the Window Sticker but they put it on the car which means they approved it and it passed their "expertise".

Notice the model of car and the Dealership that is listed as the selling Dealer.  They changed the Dealership's name to "St. Ann Motors" because they didn't know what they were doing.  There never was a "St. Ann Motors" in St. Louis, MO. that sold Plymouth's as new cars.  It was St. Ann Dodge.  They made up a fictitious name based on a previous restoration they did on a Dodge Daytona, printed the fictitious name on the Window Sticker and sold it to the UN-knowing Customer as authentic.  It was impossible that a Plymouth Super-bird would have been sold as "new" through a Dodge Dealership.  The Dealership that actually sold that vehicle was O'Leary McClintock-Chrysler Plymouth.  That Dealership should have been listed on the "bogus" Window Sticker.  Other incorrect subtleties that stand out are things like the perforations.  Who ever made it used the same horizontal perforations as the ones on the left vertical edge.  These are amateur mistakes made by Companies who have no business trying to sell/manufacture items they do not know and understand.

You beat me to it...   :P   :

I think these guys have been doing them for many years.

Having seen the process that Dave/ECS uses to make these first-hand ( :o ), they are amazingly correct reproductions.  What he says is not just a sales pitch - they really are that good.

They may not be doing them anymore.  I have had numerous Suppliers recently contact me asking if I would take over the services they were providing.  We have already started in gearing up to offer these items to the GM, Chrysler and Ford Markets.  For the record, the option fonts used by AAA were incorrect.  They also were double listing options on Window Stickers (like N96 for example) on a Cuda equipped with the E74 option code.

I appreciate your support.  Just to further clarify the information, St. Ann Motors was not even around in 1970.  According to current Chrysler information, they started in 1971 and were gone by 1976.  They too were a Dodge Dealership.  They would not have sold "new" Plymouth vehicles.  Some of the other incorrect "subtleties" include the fonts that were used for the option codes.  You can see that ALL of the letters were captured in photo-shop and used to make up the entire body of text.  The letter "E" for example is the exact same letter used throughout the entire text.  As with the other letters, the "E" is identical in density and appearance.  The original Window Stickers had varying line density in their secondary fonts.  They were originally printed by equipment that used a computer program which determined their overall appearance for the lettering.  The same printing unit was capable of providing different fonts.  The look of a font was determined by the program that was up-loaded to the controller.  The  pin configuration was capable of supplying MANY fonts depending on the program that was used to control the printing processor.

This bogus Window Sticker is indicative of the overall work that these Shops provide.  To the casual unknowing observer everything looks "authentic" but to anyone who knows the facts, their work is just another example of incorrect assignment.

ECS did my door vin sticker for my 73 and I couldn't be more pleased.
So ... a question then: will ECS be doing 66 and up Monroney stickers for all Mopars. Clearly you would need the build sheet from the vehicle and hopefully the dealer info. But how about if you don't have the dealer info? For example, I know my 73 resided from new in or near Ventura California, but no more info than that. Is something like that traceable?
If so do you have a price set for such a service with sticker?

6bblgt

while I will agree the above Superbird Monroney label is full of ERRORS & then some  :o - it is easy to get the info correct when you are copying an original

I too have info on "St ANN MOTORS" not "St ANN DODGE" from the summer of '71, but do NOT know when they were in business??  the location is currently a McDonalds

It is "easier" to get the correct information from copying original window stickers.  When you have access to all of the archived Dealerships (like we do) you can make them just as correct as referencing an original.

I mentioned earlier the codes to the left of the pricing on the Window Stickers.  Does anyone know what they represent?  Thanks!

I am still trying to choose which years to offer.  It is a tremendous effort to master every style, all the various price changes throughout the year and all the different Assembly Plants.  We already have the the majority of the 69 thru 71 years.  I will say that no matter how much information you have, there will always be new data to be found.

Someone forwarded a link and I saw the Window Sticker in the article.  Your comment about the "work" was what I stated in an earlier post.  These Shops convey bogus information and then try to mislead people into thinking that their incorrect version of originality changes the actual history.  Not to get off topic (but related to the subject matter) below is another example of the contradictions that these Shops are attempting to convey as being the truth.  They are also the ones who did the incorrect Window Sticker I posted.  I can't believe that the Shop and/or the Publisher thinks that people are naive enough to believe their comments, when they publish photos that contradict their own commentary.  What was the Shop thinking when they stated that the Factory painted the Trunk bolted to the car but then they show a picture of them painting it off of the car?  I guess the adage DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO is the mantra for those who can't replicate the Factory processes!  (lol)

ECS:  I have no idea where my Charger was originally sold but I do have the fender tag and build sheet. Actually 2 build sheets that were found when tearing down my car.  Is there  any way to find out what dealership sold my Charger?

The original Owner, Warranty information, original Invoice or Window Sticker is the best way to find who sold your vehicle when new.  If the selling Dealership is not known, we can use a "default" Dealership at the discretion of the Customer.  It may not be technically correct for the car but it allows the Window Sticker to be completed with correct information of the selected Dealership.

does ECS currently offer reproduction window stickers?  the link above goes to "not found" & I couldn't find any reference to Monroney Stickers on your web site.

IIRC, you used to make them, but stopped?  If they are currently available - what years & models?

We are currently gearing up to start manufacturing them again.  I spent a fortune (years ago) having all the Dodge & Plymouth variations printed for model years 1970 thru 1971.  Since then, we have expanded at a very fast rate and have purchased equipment that will allow us to correctly reproduce almost any year and style available.  This includes other brands such as Ford, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, etc.....  The only limitation will be accumulating all the necessary information to guarantee that we provide our Customers with the most authentic and accurate Window Stickers available.

There are MANY options and mid-year price changes to factor into the process.  Correct data & information is crucial.  We can currently provide 1969 thru 1971 Dodge/Plymouth Window Stickers.  Once we get the details worked out we will put them back on our website.  Thanks!

Dave I just had one made for my car  and although he was a nice guy and all, I know the font is far from correct.  I doubt some pricing he used also since I have a copy of my first car's Window Sticker that is similar to this car. I provided him with the BS, warrantee pamphlet, fender tag, and proof of selling dealer.  You told me in the past if I ever needed your help to hit you up but generally can't get you on the phone just one of your guys.
Car is a 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus can you branch into model year 72?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply, sir.  I am the third owner of the charger and the title just gives me the name of the guy I bought it from. He was a work-friend of my brother's And I have lost track of him. My brother has passed as well.
It would have been nice to have a window sticker made but, without the name of the real original dealer, I am just not interested. I seem to remember my brother saying the Charger came from somewhere on the southern east coast but ........................ no idea where.
The fellow I bought the Charger from had owned it since 1971 and I bought it from him in 1976.  No dealer identification plate or sticker was on the Charger.

Hey Dave,  It was fun talking to you today!  I emailed you all that I have but still waiting to see if I can get a scan of my first car's W.S., as soon as I get that I'll send it along also.
Keep doin what you do!!!!! :2thumbs:
