Just rolled a 1000 miles on the Car today :icon_smile_big: Had the the whole suspension gone over by a local speed shop and my aftermarket front end was loose :flame: apparently someone didn't follow the instructions on the proper installation. Not sure how to tackle this with the builder? Not happy as there was no loctite to be found and some of the bolts were put in crooked for "F" sakes! anyway it's all corrected now and I am looking forward to MOPARFEST !

Hey Marc,

I was reading this post about your car and have to say, I'm a bit confused here... It's not possible to put Bolts crooked into the system ? Everything runs through a shaft and bushing and either threads into a component of the suspension or is held with a nut. I watched Bill from Style Auto personally during the safety Inspection, he went over every single bolt front and rear and torqued them to the provided spec... He even had the manufactures torque sheet we supplied him. I am also positive that every bolt which calls for Loctite, was done... keep in mind allot of those bolts are held in with Nylock nuts, they don't get lock tight, and shouldn't... there's some debate as to whether or not it reacts with the Nylon. I'm personally not sure, so I follow the manufactures recommendations.  There's a spec sheet in the back of your manual which shows every bolts torque, and whether it gets red, blue or no Loctite. I did tell you that everything on the car should be re-Torqued at 1000 miles, and not just the suspension.... Everything.  Hopefully this is the last of the bugs to be worked out.. As I told you before, if you have any issues feel free to bring it in and we'll be happy to take care of them. I'll even pay the shipping charge to the shop if it's something we messed up.

I don't know why either, but I ate up my Schumakers.  I put on the new Poly-Loc ones.  I have a slight vibration after start up, but the engine isn't going anywhere now.

I need to clarify.  I upgraded to the new Polylocs.  The engine won't move with these on.  My old mounts were older regular Schumakers.

Marc, does the control freak front end use a stock mount ? Any pics ?

Not a fan of the poly lock mounts....too much vibration through the chassis.  :P

No it doesn't Ron that's my issue  :popcrn: The owner of Control Freak is being great about it though and some mounts are in transit on him & he said they should work fine. He does use the Shumacher style on HEMI builds but mine should be fine he said with the style he makes himself for my application. Hopefully they come in today but they were shipped from Florida on Monday  :shruggy:

As you can tell I am having withdrawls as i haven't driven the car since August 26th  ............................... :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive:
