Charging woes

Ok, I don't get it. Before I had some bad wiring burn, I had 14.50 volts when the car was running. I rewired a lot of bad wiring along with installing the MSD 6-AL. Now, it's not charging or charging very little, but I get 15 or so volts at the ignition resistor. I have a wiring diagram and I have checked, rechecked, and triple checked the way it's wired and I don't see how it's not charging the battery. Obviously the alternator is ok or I wouldn't be getting 15 volts at the resistor. As far as continuity, everything checks out except for the voltage regulator. Is it supposed to show open between the field and ignition tabs or is that my issue? Thanks for any help.
